Candy Database · Documentation
addons/Candy_Database, into your project's addons folder.
Then open Project > Project Settings > Plugins and tick Candy Database. A Candy DB tab appears in the top bar.
Turning it off
Untick the plugin in the same place. The tab disappears. Your settings stay in the editor's settings, so they are there when you turn it back on, and databases are files, so nothing is lost.
Where databases are found
Candy Database looks for databases in two places:
| Place | What goes there |
| The library folder | Databases you keep for every project: downloaded ones, or ones you write. It is the Candy_Database/Databases folder of the editor's data folder; Database > Open Library Folder opens it. This documentation calls it the library folder throughout. |
| Your project | Any folder of the project holding a database.json file. An add-on can ship its documentation this way. |
database.json. After adding or changing files, choose Database > Refresh.
