Candy Database · Documentation

Candy Database Candy Database is a documentation browser inside the Godot editor. It adds a tab, Candy DB, to the top bar, next to 2D, 3D, Script and AssetLib. A database is a folder of documentation pages, sorted in categories, and it can have several versions. Candy Database can hold as many databases as you like, for different add-ons, and you pick the one to read from a drop-down. What it does
  • Shows pages written in Godot's BBCode: text, colors, tables, images and links.
  • Sorts pages in categories, with a search box that looks through titles and text.
  • Keeps one set of pages per version of an add-on, and opens the version you have installed.
  • Looks the way you want: a theme for the whole tab, your own colors, a background image, and a header and a footer around the pages.
What it is not Candy Database is only a reader. It does not edit pages: they are plain txt files you write in any text editor (see Pages). It does not depend on any other plugin, and nothing else depends on it. Where to go next
