Candy Database · Documentation

Limits and safety Safety Databases can come from anywhere, so Candy Database treats them as text:
  • Pages are BBCode. They can not run code.
  • Themes and styles are plain values in JSON. There are no Godot theme or resource files to load, which could carry scripts.
  • Links to websites ask before opening, and only http and https ones open.
  • Images come from the database's own folder. Nothing is downloaded by a page.
  • Fonts are files of the database folder.
Things to know
  • After adding or changing files of a database, use Database > Refresh to see them.
  • Links only reach pages of the same database, version and language. There are no links to a spot inside a page, or to another database.
  • Search covers the open language of the open version of the open database.
  • Settings belong to the editor (every project shares them). They are saved under candy_database/ in the editor settings.
