Sidebar From top to bottom:
  1. The search box.
  2. The database drop-down.
  3. The version drop-down.
  4. The language drop-down.
  5. The list of pages, in categories. Click a page to read it, and a category's arrow to fold or unfold it. Some categories are pages too: clicking one opens it. Ctrl+click a page to open it in a second page (see Two pages below).
The sidebar is on the left by default. Put it on the right in View > Sidebar on the Right, or in the settings' Layout tab. View > Show Sidebar hides it. Page The page is the large area. Its bar has Back and Forward, to step through the pages you have read in it. It can have a header above the text and a footer below it, and a background color or image behind them. You can select and copy text with the mouse. Links are underlined and clickable. Two pages Ctrl+click a page in the list, or a link in a page (Cmd+click on macOS), to open it beside the one you are reading. The page area splits in two, with the second page on the right; the settings' Layout tab can put it on the left, above or below instead. Drag the line between them to share the room differently.
  • Each page has its own bar, with its own Back and Forward, and an X that closes it. The X only shows while two pages are open.
  • A plain click in the list always opens the page in the main page, and Ctrl+click in the second page. Closing the main page makes the second page the main one.
  • Ctrl+click on a link opens it in the other page: from the main page in the second page, and from the second page in the main page.
  • The list marks both pages. With Mark the second page in a color of its own (in the settings' Layout tab), the second page's is marked in another color, also shown at the left of its bar, to tell them apart.
  • Changing the database, version or language goes back to one page.
