Import
The Import command loads variables from a file written by Export, restoring each one to its original variable or copying them all into a single Dictionary. Keys Every key also accepts a ¢ expression instead of a fixed value, unless its description says otherwise. See CandyRef Expressions. File Description: The file to read. Values: • File name: With or without extension; an extension sets the format. • Empty: Don't leave it empty. The file would be searched for with no name, only its extension. Format Description: The file format. The value is case-insensitive, and a leading dot is ignored. Values: • json • txt • csv • cfg or ini • bin • b64 or base64 • tres or res • dialogue: A Dialogue file, which requires Dictionary. • Empty: Determined by the extension in File. Path Description: The folder to read from. Values: • Folder path: A res:// or user:// path. • Empty: export_folder (Candy_Properties.gd). Dictionary Description: A Dictionary to copy every entry into, instead of restoring each entry to its original variable. Required for Dialogue files. Values: • Variable path: Written without ¢, such as globals.hp, $UI/Box/Label.text or file_var('user://save.json').gold. • Empty: Restore each entry to its original variable.
