A Media_Volume command changes the volume of audio and video players, instantly or with a fade. A Media_Skip command seeks a player's playback to another position. Every key is described in Media Volume and Media Skip.
Volume
Volume is the new volume in dB, such as -6 (-80 is silent), or a change relative to the current volume: +=6 or -=12. Image players have no volume, so the Line ignores them.
Fades
Time is the duration of the fade to the new volume; 0 or empty changes the volume instantly. By default, the Dialogue continues while the fade runs. With a time prefixed with !, the Dialogue waits for the fade to complete: a Music player with Volume set to -80 and Time to !2 fades the music out over two seconds before the next Line.
The fades of one Line start together. A new fade replaces a fade already running on the player. During a pause loop, Media_Volume changes the volume the player returns to when it resumes, not the loop's volume (see Pausing and Resuming).
Seeking
Time is the position the playback seeks to: an absolute position (4.5, 01:30, f=120), or a move from the current position (+5, -00:01.5, f+12, f-12). 0 or empty seeks to the start. A paused or held player moves to the new position without starting. On an image player, the position stays within the current loop. A value in frames isn't accepted on an audio player.
Frames are counted rather than converted to a time, so a move by frames stays exact where frames aren't evenly spaced. On a video player, FPS sets the frame rate at which f= values are counted, instead of the video's own.
A seek moves the player's Duration, and a stop scheduled on it, along with the position: they count playback. During a pause loop, a seek moves the pause point, from which a Return resumes.
