The LM (Line Mark) command has no effect at runtime. It contains a reference string, which Jump, Bridge and choice targets accept in their Line key in place of a Line index. An index depends on the position of the target Line in its Block, so adding or removing Lines before it silently breaks every transition that points to it. A reference moves with its LM command, so transitions continue to reach the right Line however the Block is edited.
Keys
Reference
Description:
The reference string that Jump, Bridge and choice targets write in their Line key to reach this Line. It is compared exactly as written, case included, and isn't evaluated. If several LM commands of a Block contain the same reference, transitions reach the first one, so don't reuse a reference within a Block.
