An end-of-line string is displayed at the end of the spoken text once it has finished writing: a prompt character, for example, which tells the player that the text is complete and the Dialogue can advance.
Each Dialogue Mode has two settings for it in the Engine, in the Inspector, under the mode's category:
{mode}_end_of_line_string: the characters displayed once the text has finished writing, until the Dialogue advances to the next Line.
{mode}_advance_string: the characters displayed in their place once the Dialogue has advanced to the next Line, for a string that changes on advance.
Both strings support BBCode, for visual effects such as blinking or a faded color.
By default, Box mode has an end-of-line string: a blinking downward arrow, which stops blinking once the Dialogue advances.
The Engine's {mode}_end_of_line_string and {mode}_advance_string can be overridden by the UI Elements that display speech (dialogue box, subtitles...), by Actor properties (in the actors dictionary) and by Spoken Line data.
