Candy Logo

Language
Settings > UI > Language The language of Candy Dialogue Creator's interface: its menus, Panels, settings, field help and messages. It changes nothing in your Dialogues: the languages of Spoken Lines are Variations (see Variations). Unlike the other settings, the language isn't stored in a profile: it applies to every user and profile on the computer, and is saved as soon as it's chosen.
Settings Language
Choosing a Language Language lists each language by its own name: • System language, the default: the language of your computer, when a translation of Candy Dialogue Creator exists for it, and English otherwise. • English. • Every language a translation is installed for, such as Français. • Test language (for translators) (see Translations). Candy Dialogue Creator translates its texts as it builds its interface, so a new language is displayed once Candy Dialogue Creator is restarted. When another language is chosen, a message written in that language asks you to restart. A text a translation doesn't cover is displayed in English. Command Names Translate command names decides how Commands are named in the interface: on the buttons of the Dialogue Buttons panel, in the Dialogue Editor's header, in menus and in the names of shortcuts. • Off, the default: Commands are displayed with their English names (Spoken Line, Media Play), as Candy Dialogue Engine's documentation writes them. • On: Commands are displayed with their names in the chosen language. Like the language, this option applies once Candy Dialogue Creator is restarted. The names written in Dialogues (Spoken_Line, Media_Play), which the Dialogue Navigator displays, are never translated, since Candy Dialogue Engine reads them. A Command named inside a translated sentence, such as a field's help, follows the language. What Isn't Translated Whatever you write is displayed as written: your Dialogues, the names of Conversations, Blocks and entries, the values of fields, your Presets, inserts and layouts. The names stored in a layout are data too: the names of tabs, categories and filters. The built-in layout contains names of its own, which are displayed in English in every language. To display them in your language, rename them:
