Navigator Colors
Settings > UI > Navigator Colors The appearance of the rows of the Dialogue Navigator: Conversations, Blocks, and the Lines of each Command. With distinct colors per Command, the structure of a Dialogue is readable at a glance. These colors belong to the theme chosen on the Theme page: each theme has its own set, and a change made under one theme is never displayed under another.
Settings Navigator Colors
The Table The table has one row for Conversations, one for Blocks, then one per category of Commands. Click the button in front of a category to display its Commands. Each row's name is drawn as the Navigator draws it: it's a preview. Hover it or press it to see the colors of those states. States A row of the Navigator has five states, each with its own colors:
StateWhen
NormalThe row's ordinary state.
HoveredThe mouse is over the row.
SelectedThe Line open in the Dialogue Editor.
ClickedWhile the mouse button is down on the row.
Also selectedThe other selected rows.
The buttons above the table show or hide the columns of each state, and those of the sizes. Normal is always displayed. Colors Each state has five colors:
ColorWhat it colors
TextThe row's text.
OutlineThe outline of the text.
BackThe row's background.
BorderThe border inside the row's edges.
FrameThe frame drawn around the row.
Sizes
SizeDescription
Border sizeThe width of the border on each side: left, top, right and bottom. A border on the left side only forms a colored strip.
Frame widthThe width of the frame around the row.
Text indentAbove the table: where the text starts in Conversation rows, Block rows and Lines, in pixels from the row's left edge.
Categories and Commands Each Command has a Category check box.
  • Ticked, the Command uses the colors and sizes of its category. Change the category's row to change all its Commands at once.
  • Unticked, the Command has its own.
Changing a color or a size of a Command unticks its box; the other values stay as they were displayed. Theme Defaults Every color, size and indent starts from the theme's own value. To restore it, right-click the color or the number and choose Remove Override. Right-clicking a color also offers Copy and Paste. Ctrl+click a color pastes. Save / Load The Save / Load button saves everything on this page under a name, or loads a saved set:
  • Save Colors... asks for a name and a level, user or project, like any saved layout.
  • Load Colors lists the saved sets. Loading one replaces the page's settings for the current theme.
To transfer colors to another theme, save them under one theme, choose the other on the Theme page, and load them. The files can be shared like layouts (see Saved Layouts). Comments A Comment has a Color field of its own, which sets the color of that Comment's text in the Navigator. New Comments start with the text color set here for the Comment command.
